What is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects social communication and behavior. Individuals with ASD often face challenges in social interactions, including difficulties with social cognition, emotional understanding, and forming relationships.
They may also exhibit repetitive, restricted, or fixated behaviors. In addition to these challenges, many individuals with autism experience sensory sensitivities, as well as mental health issues like anxiety, depression, or aggression. Despite these difficulties, individuals with ASD may have high intelligence and unique strengths.

Intervention
Children are taught one to one basis, by applying Behavioural Therapy and TEACCH Method. Children with autism often struggle with social interaction and communication, which can lead to isolation and difficulties in making friends. Intervention can help children develop socialization skills by providing opportunities for them to interact with others in a structured and supportive environment.
Early Intervention
In the first 3 years of life, baby’s brain connections are more adaptable. These are the foundations for learning, behaviour and health. It impacts well on developing developmental abilities, language development and education. Invariably it impacts less anxiety and appropriate behaviour. Families learn to identify children’s challenges and they themselves learn to solve problems with help therapists.
Group
We teach in a peer group environment and learning is done in a classroom set up. Mostly generalized work is done here, to enhances social and communication skills. Turn taking, sharing and joint attention develops. These skills are important for making friends and participating in group activities. It help children express themselves through creative activities like art, play, music, and drama. This can help them communicate their emotions, thoughts, and experiences in a non-verbal way.
Role of Parents
Parents are an integral part of any developmental program. If parents are guided well and made to understand neurodiversity, it eases family life and child growth, development is far better. Autism Spectrum is a disorder not a disability. If a child receives correct therapy and behavior modification at the right time then it becomes easier for them to mainstream.
Lack of awareness hinders understanding of the core issues related with Autism Spectrum disorder. We take special care to train parents and answer their queries for better understanding of shortcomings. This is advantageous for both the parents and the child, and it is very important that parents are not misled or misguided.
